Recently, many people have emailed City Council concerning the council’s actions regarding SOAP and SODA, a program that would prohibit those convicted of crimes related to prostitution or drugs in the Northeast from being in the area. In May the council passed a resolution supporting the Northeast Neighborhoods, the Municipal Court, the City Prosecutor, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the Northeast Chamber of Commerce in their efforts to create the program.
Now’s your chance to publicly voice your opinion on the issue Tuesday at 3pm during a meeting to address crime in the Northeast. The meeting will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 318 Benton Blvd.
